Kali is a body-oriented Trauma Therapist, and works with the mind & body to resolve anxiety, trauma, chronic pain and illness. Using the techniques of Somatic Experiencing ® and TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) where appropriate.
TCM has some unique advantages when treating women’s issues, including menstrual irregularities, menopause, fertility and pregnancy. Our ability to recognize the pattern of disharmony means we know what to treat and how to correct imbalances.
At Kallista Chinese Medicine, we are a small team of therapists offering services to help heal, restore and balance the mind, body and spirit. Our Qualified practitioners offer a range of services including Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine, Osteopathy, Kinesiology, Shiatsu & cupping, Laser acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture, Somatic Experiencing® and Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®).
We stock quality herbal pills & capsules, as well as a great range of over-the-counter medicines & liniments for colds & flu, children’s illnesses, sports injuries, muscular pain & other common health complaints. Individually formulated granulated herbs are prescribed if necessary.

She coaches and guides clients from states of nervous-system dysregulation (due to stress & trauma) towards coherence, resilience & full empowerment.
* This workshop will teach you the core practices she shares with clients over and over, and will give you solid tools to go on with.
* Both workshops are suitable for all ages and fitness levels. They are designed to assist women with trauma, anxiety or depression, as well as empowering every one of us.
What are Trauma Release Exercises (TRE)?
Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) is a simple, self-empowering technique you can learn and then use at home to help relieve stress, anxiety, back pain, and many other symptoms. It is a body centered process that can help to release deep chronic tension created during traumatic or stressful events by deliberately invoking the body’s innate shaking/tremoring mechanism. It is easily learned and often brings immediate results.
Kali teaches TRE to individuals from the clinic, and she also offers 1:1 Trauma therapy using Somatic Experiencing® techniques. This can help with pain, stress and anxiety by calming and regulating the nervous system.
